Next 9th May THE DARK DENIERS will be premiering "Tales of Freedom" . The Concert, a Live Recording Session open to the public, will be held at Studio Zentri Fuge in Berlin. Free entry.
The Dark Deniers is an ensemble that expands Butch Morris’ conduction principles into hybrid territory combining free improvisation, rock/metal rhythmic systems and poetic text material. At the core of Tales of Freedom is the transformation of poetry into sonic architecture. Texts drawn from authors such as Dylan Thomas, John Masefield, and Antonio Machado function as structural and emotional triggers. These texts are not treated as romantic or sentimental material, but as dramatic and existential frameworks—often focusing on themes of mortality, resistance, time, and transformation. The Dark Deniers develops a live narrative that emerges from interaction between musicians and conductor.
