Join us for a thrilling weekend from 4th to 5th July 2026 as The Ellis Journey makes its grand return with an unforgettable new format! Experience the charm of early motoring in a celebration that pays homage to the very first documented car journey in the UK by the Hon Evelyn Ellis in 1895.

📍 Starting Point: Datchet Village Fair, where you can enjoy local festivities before our exciting adventure begins!

🗺️ Route Highlights:

• Explore the breathtaking countryside of Berkshire, passing through Sonning and the historic Donnington Castle.
• Enjoy delightful stop-offs at the Nature Discovery Centre and the renowned Bombay Sapphire Distillery.
• Relish a relaxing lunch at a charming country pub before our day concludes in Micheldever.

🍽️ Evening Events:
Unwind with dinner and entertainment, giving participants a chance to socialise and celebrate the day's journey.

🌅 Day 2: On 5th July, we will retrace the original Ellis Journey back to Datchet, commemorating the historic trip that marked the advent of motoring in Britain. The weekend will conclude with a grand display on Datchet Green, featuring live entertainment, exhibitors, and refreshments to celebrate the remarkable return of these extraordinary vehicles.
