Toronto Sports Camp

Join us for an unforgettable experience at ICD’s Sports and Adventure Camps! 🏃‍♂️⚽ These engaging day programs are designed to foster confidence, diabetes literacy, and lasting friendships among children aged 5–15, whether they have type 1 diabetes or not.

Throughout the camp, participants will enjoy a variety of sports, games, and challenges, all while acquiring essential skills for real-world diabetes management in a fun, supportive environment. Daily activities include:

• Sports drills
• Field and gym games
• Carb-counting education
• Diabetes discussions woven into playful exercises.

The camp is led by dedicated youth leaders and coaches who live with type 1 diabetes, ensuring that campers gain independence, resilience, and a true sense of belonging.

🌟 NEW THIS YEAR! FOUR WEEKS IN TORONTO!

• Location: Tait McKenzie Centre, York University, Toronto, ON
• Cost: $350 per camper per week plus $5.50 processing fees

Weekly Schedule:

• Week 1: July 6 - 10
• Week 2: July 13 - 17
• Week 3: July 20 - 24
• Week 4: July 27 - 31

Campers ages 13–15 can join our integrated leadership development program, while youth aged 16+ are encouraged to volunteer to earn community service hours. Friends and siblings are always welcome!

Participants will engage in multi-age groups, trying new sports and exercises together, sharing experiences, and gaining practical strategies for diabetes management. Our team prioritizes parent communication, updating caregivers at the start and end of each day to ensure everyone is informed and confident about the day's plan.
