About the event

Join us for an insightful two-day workshop that dives into the complexities of totality within twentieth-century philosophy! 🌍

This engaging event will examine Alexandre Kojève's efforts to modernize Hegel's system of knowledge during the tumultuous times of World War II, as well as interpretations of historical totality against the backdrop of postwar Czechoslovakia's political landscape.

Organized by the Institute of Philosophy and the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Czech Academy of Sciences, alongside the Faculty of Humanities of Charles University, this conference promises thought-provoking discussions.
