👤 Meet Your Guide: Jeff Keesee, a dedicated Atlantan with roots in Oregon, has a deep love for trees stemming from his days teaching nature merits at Boy Scout camp and volunteering during the Atlanta Olympics. His passion continues today with engaging docent tours and tree planting.
🌱 About the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum: The arboretum boasts an impressive collection of 9,000 accessioned plants, including 369 unique tree and shrub species. With 88 genera represented, each plant is identified with permanent signage. Since 2013, over 500,000 non-accessioned grasses, vines, and wildflowers, plus 1,600 pounds of native plant seeds, have been introduced to this vibrant urban ecosystem.
