The Dutch financial sector and public sector is behind on EUDI. The national wallet is delayed. And the kind of “German Sparkassen bank” or French government -style urgency that's moving things elsewhere in Europe isn't happening here.
We're doing something about it.
On June 9, we're hosting an invite-only lunch for a small group of regulators, lawyers, consultants, investors, and Financial Industry decision-makers who are close enough to the problem to do something about it. 15 people. Chatham House rules.
Join an interactive networking lunch at Restaurant Toet (accross the street from the Identity week conference RAI venue) during Amsterdam Identity Week. Over a seasonal lunch, we’ll explore the latest developments around the European Digital Identity Wallet (EUDI) — from mandatory acceptance for the financial sector, the experiments with payments in large‑scale pilots to demonstrating high‑value public and private sector use cases using trust service providers.

The DSGV represents the interests of the 341 savings banks, the Landesbank groups and DekaBank, as well as five state-owned building societies, nine primary insurance groups within the Savings Banks sector, and numerous other financial service companies. Germany has ~84 million people → Sparkassen serves well over half the population. 50 million customers are served by the German Sparkassen (savings banks) It’s one of the largest retail banking customer bases in Europe. The team also works on PaSO (Payments and SCA for OpenID) The trust and proof layer that lets OpenID wallets satisfy Strong Customer Authentication — with dynamic linking, faithful display, and independently re-verifiable evidence.
