Born in Romania and influenced by classical music and jazz, he flourished in France, composing iconic scores for films like The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe, The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob, The Wing and the Thigh, and Animal. His extraordinary ability to create catchy, witty, and moving melodies makes them integral to the cinematic experience.

Over his illustrious career, Cosma has received numerous accolades, including two César Awards for Best Original Score for Diva (1981) and Le Bal (1983). After an eight-year hiatus, he returns to the prestigious Prague Proms festival to personally conduct his most beloved film compositions in the magnificent Smetana Hall of the Municipal House.
