Vortex

Vortex is a poignant and patient record of the last days of an elderly couple's life, played by French cinema legend Françoise Lebrun and cult horror film director Dario Argento. Gaspar Noé opts for hard-edged realism this time, but he wouldn't be himself if he didn't experiment formally. From the outset, he divides the screen into two parts, separately observing a wife slowly losing touch with reality, suffering from dementia, and an ailing husband who does not acknowledge her condition. The man tries at all costs to finish the book about his beloved films and dreaming at the cinema.
