What makes a life “good”?

We all have some idea of what a good life looks like.
Do you define it by happiness, success, relationships, or something else?

Throughout history, philosophers and religions have offered different answers. Some say the good life is about maximizing pleasure, others say it’s about fulfillment, purpose, or living morally.

This week at IQ Cafe, we’ll explore these perspectives together. After a short introduction, we’ll break into small groups for open discussion.
Come share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and enjoy meaningful conversation in a relaxed and respectful environment. Everyone is welcome!

🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!
