Join us for a day of hands-on woodland craft, where you’ll learn to transform raw green wood into beautiful items using traditional techniques. This one-day course invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and find joy in old-fashioned woodworking.

Under the guidance of our expert tutor, you'll master safe handling of traditional tools such as the shave horse, drawknife, and carving knives. With simple, time-honored methods, create hand-carved items straight from the tree!

• Safe and effective knife grips for whittling and carving.
• Crafting useful and decorative items such as spatulas, gypsy flowers, tent pegs, and twig spoons.
• Using a shave horse and drawknife to shape wood.
• Cleaving wood from logs while understanding grain, strength, and character.

James, a Bushcraft Instructor and Forest School Leader, has over 10 years of experience in environmental conservation. He holds a Bushcraft Competency Certificate and has overseen management of the largest community-owned woodland in Wales.
