🙋 Who Is This For?

This workshop welcomes both experienced improvisers and those newer to the art form. Anyone who has completed the improv basics is warmly invited to join. No prior knowledge of specific games is required — though you're absolutely encouraged to bring suggestions for games you'd love to play!

🎮 About the Workshop

Using a Theatresports-style battle as its backbone, this workshop dives deep into the world of shortform improv. Two teams face off in a passionate battle, taking turns with games and scenes fueled by audience suggestions and participant-brought challenges. Nobody can come fully prepared — spontaneity is the name of the game, and each team may spring playful surprises and unexpected twists on the other at any moment.

The day blends learning, playing, and performing in a joyful and supportive environment. Key themes explored throughout include:

• 🎉 Having genuine fun on stage
• 🤝 Supporting your fellow performers
• 🧩 Discovering new shortform games — and understanding what makes them exciting to play and watch
• ⚡ Spontaneity
• 🔍 Justification (spoiler: you'll hear this word quite a bit!)

No need to sign up as part of a team — teams are formed organically during the workshop itself, giving everyone the joy of playing alongside new people. The day wraps up with a friendly Theatresports showdown, and there's even a possibility of inviting a small audience to witness the final battle!

👩‍🎓 About Tamara Maasdam

Tamara Maasdam is an improviser and teacher with roots in both the Netherlands and Sweden, fuelled by an endless curiosity and a passion for exploration. For her, improv shines brightest when drama and comedy collide — when a performance can make you burst out laughing one moment and move you deeply the next.

As a coach, Tamara brings heart, energy, and genuine curiosity into every room. Her workshops blend playfulness and silliness with thoughtful, constructive feedback — creating a space where both individuals and the group as a whole can truly grow.

She has performed and taught at Stockholms Improvisationsteater and International Theater Stockholm. In 2024, she founded her own theatre — Push Play Theatre — where she serves as creative director, organiser, and improviser. She is also an active member of several independent ensembles, performing across Sweden and on stages throughout Europe. 🌍
