🌟 About the Workshop
As improvisers, we are storytellers — conjuring entire worlds and narratives from nothing. This workshop dives into the craft of creating compelling improvised plays that hold audiences captivated from beginning to end. The focus will be on constructing vivid, distinct worlds and populating them with characters who carry clear objectives and genuine emotional stakes.
The workshop is rooted in the show format that Push Play Theatre has been performing for the past two years. A single piece of visual art serves as the starting point — a backbone and source of inspiration from which adventures, stories, and entire realities can unfold. Audience suggestions then propel the improvisers into unexpected tangents and side quests, demanding real-time adaptation and creative flexibility.
The day wraps up with a mini-showcase where participants collectively transform one artwork into a fully improvised play. 🎨➡️🎭

✅ Prerequisites
This workshop welcomes improvisers who have already completed at least a few improv courses and feel comfortable with the fundamentals of improvised theatre. No prior longform experience is required.
👩🏫 About Tamara Maasdam
Tamara Maasdam is an improviser and teacher originally from the Netherlands and Sweden, fuelled by an endless curiosity and a deep passion for exploration. For Tamara, improv shines brightest where drama and comedy intersect — where a single performance can make you laugh out loud one moment and move you deeply the next.
As a coach, she brings warmth, energy, and genuine playfulness into the room, balancing silliness with thoughtful feedback to foster growth for both individuals and the group as a whole.
Tamara has performed and taught at Stockholms Improvisationsteater and International Theater Stockholm. In 2024, she founded her own company — Push Play Theatre — where she serves as creative director, organiser, and performer. She is also an active member of several independent ensembles, performing across Sweden and on stages throughout Europe.
