5th Annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release

About the event

Join us for a heartfelt moment of healing and remembrance at the 5th Annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release.
This beautiful, non-denominational ceremony invites everyone to honor the memory of their loved ones in a meaningful way. 🕊️

We will release humanely-raised, regionally native Painted Lady butterflies, provided by the University of Idaho Entomology Department—symbols of transformation, hope, and the lasting impact of lives well-lived.

During the ceremony, participants will have the opportunity to write private notes to their departed loved ones on special dissolvable paper. Watch as your heartfelt words dissolve in the memorial fountain, carrying your messages with the butterflies on their journey. 💌

All are welcome to partake in this sacred time of community healing and remembrance.
Additional parking is available at Saint Pius X Church.

This event is proudly brought to you by Auburn Crest Hospice, Northwest Infant Survival & SIDS Alliance (NISSA), and the University of Idaho.
