About Gianna:

Gianna Surangkanjanajai specializes in sculpture, focusing on how form evolves in relation to its environment. Her work highlights geometric structures that serve as versatile points of departure. Often transparent, her sculptures incorporate materials sensitive to light, temperature, and gravity; they transform as their surroundings change. This approach challenges the certainties of objecthood, presenting sculpture as a dynamic process that adapts and evolves.

Born in Cologne and now based in New York, Gianna has showcased her work in both solo and group exhibitions in various esteemed venues including Haus am Waldsee in Berlin, le vite in Milan, and MoMA PS1 in New York. A new series of her works will be unveiled at Christian Andersen in Copenhagen in August 2026.
