BERLIN QUANTUM BarBQ June 2026: Quantum Computing

BERLIN QUANTUM community event organized by OpTecBB e.V. and hosted by Leap Berlin.
BarBQ is an open networking event designed to bring the community together and foster the exchange of opinions and ideas in the quantum field among students, founders, scientists, as well as technically and non-technically interested individuals. The event is aimed at a broad audience who wants to learn more about quantum and the quantum community in Berlin.
On June 9th, as Berlin Quantum, we are happy to welcome you to a special edition of BarBQ on Quantum Computing (QC). QC is a key pilar of new disruptive technologies, promising to change the way we handle information, based on quantum bits instead of classical bits, and taking advantage of quantum entanglement to provide super computing capabilities.
In this edition we will have IBM  and KIPU Qantum, very relevant world-wide players in the field, as main guests to talk about their most recent advances and offer an insight into their visions about quantum advantage and QC, which involves understanding the capabilities and challenges of hardware and software development . We will also have a recap on the recent Berlin Quantum Hackaton, which attracted international attention and talent.

We're also happy to host the Humboldt Innovators Network as guests to this event. The Humboldt Innovators Network brings together alumni of Humboldt-Universität who are driving innovation in companies. Whether working in industry or involved in deep tech - all innovation-enthusiastic alumni who have studied, taught and/or researched at Humboldt-Universität are invited.
