Join us for an immersive experience in the art of ceramics! 🎨 Learn the art of wheel throwing and create your own pottery pieces in this comprehensive 30-hour course running over 6 sessions (6 x 5 hours).

• Begin your journey with basic cylinder shapes, mastering essential throwing techniques and gaining confidence on the wheel.
• Progress to closed forms and trimming, then advance to open shapes such as bowls, refining your control and form.
• Design and create unique pieces, applying your newly learned skills.
• In the final sessions, dive into decorative techniques, preparing your work for its first firing, followed by glazing and preparation for the second firing.
• Emerge with a collection of finished ceramic pieces and a solid foundation in wheel throwing! 🏺

👩‍🏫 About the Instructor:
Szabina Lócki, a passionate ceramic artist and educator from Hungary, now based in Copenhagen, is known for her intuitive and thoughtful teaching style. Szabina focuses on wheel-thrown stoneware with an emphasis on clean, functional forms and natural surfaces. Since founding her ceramics studio in 2021, she has been dedicated to teaching both beginners and advanced students, fostering an environment that emphasizes focus, creativity, and respect for materials.

🏡 Workshop Location:
Vesterbro Bibliotek og Kulturhus, Lyrskovgade 2-4, 4th floor, 1758 Copenhagen V.

🧱 Materials Included:

• 5 kg of clay, pre-firing, and glazing are included in the course fee.
• Additional clay can be purchased if needed.

👕 Practical Information:

• Wear clothes that can get dusty or dirty while working with clay.
• Participants are encouraged to help tidy up and maintain the cleanliness of the workshop.
