June 15- June 19 Workshop on Foundations of AI

Join us for the 2026 Workshop on Foundations of AI, hosted by the University of Vlora and organized by AlbaNovus, facilitated by the Global Albanians Foundation and RUR.al.

During this enriching workshop, we will offer two certified courses, each comprising ten 90-minute modules:

1. Introduction to Data Sciences and AI
   Led by Richard Ressler and Michael Robinson from American University, Washington DC.
2. AI in Depth - From Fundamentals of Deep Learning to Real World Applications
   Co-taught by Zois Boukouvalas (American University, Washington DC) and Ogerta Elezaj (Alan Turing Institute, Birmingham, UK).

A thrilling 24-hour hackathon will be held during the workshop, where participants can showcase their creativity. The winners will receive a bonus prize for Creative Excellence! This event will be managed by Genti Tola from CDATA, Tirana, Albania, and Michael Robinson.

Explore shared knowledge through interactions with various Albanian startups, including SKAITECH, 3DSKAI, and T-BLOCKS, as they share their firsthand experiences with attendees.

The workshop will conclude with a Research Conference focused on the Foundations of Intelligent Systems scheduled for June 20. Scholarships for student participants will be provided thanks to CData Software and an anonymous donor.
