Seattle Trek - Cal Anderson Park/ North Capitol Hill

Join us for an unforgettable exploration of Seattle's rich history and vibrant culture! 🌆 This guided trek, priced at $12 per person and complimentary for Tenderfoot Adventures annual members, takes you through the lush landscapes and storied streets of two iconic Seattle parks.

We’ll kick off our adventure at Volunteer Park, a stunning creation by Olmsted that holds centuries of Seattle’s history. Marvel at the Black Sun sculpture by Isamu Noguchi, visit the Seattle Asian Art Museum, and stroll through the Volunteer Park Conservatory and Dahlia Garden. Don’t miss the chance to climb the Water Tower for scenic views of downtown and Elliott Bay, as well as explore Lakeview Cemetery, where legends Bruce and Brandon Lee lay to rest.

Next, we’ll meander into the Capitol Hill neighborhood, where stately historic homes around 19th Avenue tell tales of Seattle’s founding families. As we walk towards E Jefferson Street, witness the transformation of the city as old mansions give way to vibrant community spaces embodying the region's diversity.

Our first stop at Seattle University will allow us to take a quick breather — perhaps even visit the stunning Chapel of St. Ignatius. Afterward, we dive into the creative energy of Capitol Hill, famous for its eclectic mix of bars, art galleries, and murals that envelop a diverse community.

We'll conclude our trek at Cal Anderson Park, known for its lively atmosphere filled with rallies and community events. Recharge with a delightful stop at Bakery Nouveau, where you can indulge in rich coffee and French pastries. ☕🥐 This trek combines the polished history of Seattle with its ever-evolving, vibrant community spirit!
