SOFT SCREENS
🌟 MESH_arts presents SOFT SCREENS
Featuring artists: Nouf Aljowaysir, Anna Frants, Alexandra Lerman, & Mari Nagem
Curated by: Isabella Indolfi & Paige King
Soft Screens delves into the complexities of our hypermediated reality, showcasing how digital media subtly influences our attention, behaviors, and sense of agency. This group exhibition invites you to ponder the implications of algorithmic systems that inhabit—and inhibit—our cognitive and emotional dexterity.
Through engaging with themes like identity representation through data, influenced by biases and centralization, and how our interaction with touchscreens alters our connection to the physical world, this exhibition articulates vital questions about presence in both virtual and real landscapes.
Soft Screens also serves as the inaugural exhibition of MESH_arts—a pioneering space where art intersects with research, technology, and science. Through an array of peer-led public programs including exhibitions, talks, and workshops, MESH_arts aims to cultivate inquisitive artistic practices and promote critical dialogues on technology's role in shaping our society and environment while envisioning alternate futures.
