Helsingborg has been recognized multiple times for its commitment to sustainability, being crowned Sweden’s Most Environmentally Friendly Municipality on four occasions, along with nominations for the European Green Capital Award. The Filborna waste management facility is pivotal in this endeavor, converting residual materials into valuable resources to foster a sustainable society.

- Departure: 09:00 sharp!
- Return: 11:00 to the same location.
Participants will enjoy a guided bus tour around the Filborna facility. This educational excursion will delve into the innovative waste management and energy production efforts in collaboration with Miljöverkstaden, NSR, and Öresundskraft.

- NSR AB (Nordvästra Skånes Renhållnings AB) is supported by six municipalities: Bjuv, Båstad, Helsingborg, Höganäs, Åstorp, and Ängelholm.
- Food waste is turned into fertilizers and biogas used to power buses and cars!
- Garden waste is transformed into nutrient-rich soil and wood chips for district heating and electricity.
- Residual waste is incinerated at the Filborna plant to provide district heating and electricity.
