The sound of America performed by the largest brass orchestra in the Czech Republic, Moravia Brass Band—the resident ensemble of the Brno Brass Fest—invites you to an evening dedicated to American music of the 20th century. In the unique setting of the Bishop’s Court in Brno, a selection of works inspired by jazz, film, and American folklore will be performed in original arrangements for brass orchestra.
The centerpiece of the program will be a suite from the legendary musical West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, combining Latin American rhythms, classical orchestration, and the dramatic spirit of Broadway music.
The concert will be enriched by stage dance, adding a new visual and emotional dimension to the music. Conducted by Robert Kružík, with commentary by Jiří Kokmotos.
