1st Saturdays: Long Line Sewing for Beginners

Join us for 1st Saturdays: Long Line Sewing for Beginners at Gore Hall! 🏛️ This introductory sewing class is perfect for those new to sewing and those looking to enhance their long-line stitching skills.

🪡 What to Bring:

• Sewing Machine
• Sewing Kit
• Thread and Fabric

📚 Course Highlights:

• Create stitch samplers, a pillowcase, and a lap quilt using patterns from "My First Quilt Book: Machine Sewing" by Winky Cherry.
• Emphasis on foundational sewing skills, accuracy, and comfort in a supportive environment.
• Keep your creations or donate them to children’s hospital charities like Ryan’s Case for Smiles and Project Linus.

💰 Cost:

• Sliding scale of $60-$90 for the series.
• Option to add $5–$10 to support the scholarship fund. One full scholarship and two half scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Sept 5: Orientation, Unboxing, Parts of Machine, Sewing on Paper (No Thread)
• Oct 3: Sewing Machine Intake Sheet, Sewing with Thread Sampler, Start Pillowcase
• Nov 7: Finish Pillowcase, Start Quilt
• Dec 5: Finish Quilt, End of Class Cupcakes 🧁
