A Ritual for Venus: Chocolate & Velvet

WHAT TO EXPECT

A chocolate tasting, done the way chocolate tasting should probably always have been done — in the dark, slowly, with your eyes closed and someone taking care of you.

You are the muse. The truffle is the catalyst.

Lucy leads a ritual chocolate house. The chocolate isn't the point of the evening — you are. It's simply the most delicious way we've found to bring someone back into their own body.

Over the evening, she’ll guide a small group from arrival into presence, through the senses, and through your taste buds.

There is nothing else like it in Lisbon.

THE TRUFFLES

• Burnt caramel, taken to the edge where sweetness turns and starts to smoke, alchemised with dark chocolate ganache. Tender, but with structure — it holds, and then it gives.
• Two truffles, each with its own accent:
  • Fire — for the sun. Warmth, smoke, activation.
  • Earth — for presence. Depth, grounding, nourishment.

Composed the way a perfume is: accents chosen for what they do, not only how they taste. Held on the tongue until each gives way on its own. The flavour has a beginning, a middle, and an end, that heightens your sensitivity and takes you on a journey.

An Elucium truffle isn't something you need. It's a desire, fulfilled.

THE EVENING

• Anticipation: We arrive, land in the body, and let the room slow us down. Gentle movement, breath, and a walk through the five senses — one at a time, ending on taste.
• Deepening: Blindfolds. The first truffle is placed, not taken. A guided meditation, narrated slowly in a low voice, that you travel through as the chocolate melts into your mouth, through your throat to your sacral chakra. You voyage through your inner world as far as you choose to. A massage for the soul, delivered through chocolate bliss.
• Amplification: Eyes open. Moments of awe amplified in storytelling, exchange, and connection, if you choose to. Or to sit deep with your essence and its beauty. A second truffle arrives to ground you, an offering from another. A sparkling finisher will greet you when you are ready to step out of the room.

Included: two Elucium truffles · a guided 1.5-hour ceremony · a sound-dressed velvet room · a glass of sparkling, alcoholic or not.

What happens in the room, we can more or less account for. What happens in the moments and hours afterwards, we can't. We come to appreciate the beauty in this mystery.

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

• Filled up: Whatever your creator's cup is, it will be fuller than when you arrived.
• Present: Less stress in the shoulders, slower breath, a dreamlike quality to the rest of the night.
• Radiant: Softer skin, brighter eyes, more colour, more energy. A glow up, arrived at through taste.
• Reconnected: To your senses, your creativity, your own inner world. An increased magnetism for magical things arriving in the days afterwards…

ABOUT LUCY

Lucy Antrobus composes the collection and conducts the ceremony — part chocolatier, part alchemist. Your stories are part of her creative fire to create. Together we will feed this fire.

PRACTICALITIES

• Doors: 7.00pm — ceremony begins 7.30pm sharp. Latecomers can't be admitted once we've begun.
• Ends: 9.00pm, with bubbles and moonlit lingering.
• Wear: Something soft. We sit or lay on the floor.
• Phones: Left at the threshold.
• Dietary: Truffles may contain dairy. Tell us anything we should know when you book.
