AI at Work — Whatever Your Job

A lecture in English with a Q&A session and real-world examples.

Artificial intelligence is no longer just for tech experts. Participants will learn how to apply it in their daily work, regardless of their field or technical background.

Davide and Mirco will guide participants through how AI actually works, why it sometimes “lies,” and how not to get caught off guard. They’ll showcase concrete real-world examples—from smart prompting to automating routine tasks like meeting notes. There will also be time for questions and discussion.

What participants will gain:
a basic overview of the history of AI and its context, without unnecessary fluff an understanding of how AI works and how to recognize when it’s making things up
an understanding of what a prompt is and how to use it effectively tips on how to use AI for meeting recording, transcription, and summarization
insights into generative AI, sustainability, and privacy—including responsible use and compliance with European data protection requirements a basic overview of options for running AI locally and working with open-source models

Davide Pollicino is a Software Engineer at Microsoft in Prague, a certified Azure AI Engineer, and an enthusiastic advocate for generative AI and LLM models. He works with tools such as OpenAI, Claude, and Azure AI, mentors technology professionals at MentorCruise, and serves on the board of directors for the startup TaxCoder.cz.

Mirco Vianello is a Software Engineer at Microsoft in Prague with over 8 years of experience in IT. He has worked on projects for large corporations such as EY and Indra. He is a certified Azure Developer and a specialist in .NET and web technologies.
