Are you feeling both hopeful and anxious about the future of artificial intelligence? To foster greater optimism, we need individuals dedicated to steering AI toward benefiting humanity. Join us as AI Safety Türkiye brings together researchers and professionals to discuss critical questions in AI safety and what building a career in this field looks like!

Who will be speaking?
We'll kick off the event with two insightful talks:

🎤 Bengüsu Özcan — Co-Founder of AI Safety Türkiye | Frontier AI Governance Researcher at Arq Foundation
🎤 Ege Uğur Amasya — PhD Student at Koç University | SPAR Fellow

Bengüsu will share how she shaped her career in AI governance, while Ege will discuss the project he is working on in the technical AI safety realm through the SPAR Fellowship. Our speakers will briefly detail their journeys and address questions from those looking to enter this field, sharing both opportunities and challenges they have encountered.

Additional speakers may be added to the program. For non-Turkish speakers, our lightning talks will be presented in English, and the Q&A session can be conducted in a mix of Turkish and English.

Hosted at the office of Inzva, one of Turkey's leading AI developer communities and stakeholders of AI Safety Türkiye.
