Curation Series:
The curation mini series programme is a practice-led exploration of contemporary curating led by Lottie Mac, bringing together emerging and established curators to share how exhibitions are conceived, shaped and experienced.
This practice-led exploration series of contemporary curating is led by Lottie Mac, bringing together emerging and established curators to share how exhibitions are conceived, shaped and experienced.
We encourage participants to sign up to the full three-part series to gain a deeper insight into curatorial practice, building knowledge and dialogue across each session.
An Intro to Curation:
Lottie Mac will run a hands-on curatorial workshop exploring the balancing of energies within exhibition-making. Drawing on five years of independent practice, the session begins with an insight into her curatorial methodologies, reflecting on a selection of exhibitions as case studies to unpack approaches to spatial composition, material dialogue and audience experience.
Moving from analysis into practice, participants will be invited to re-curate a previously realised exhibition, navigating the relationships between works across sound, technology and physical space. The workshop positions curation as both a critical and intuitive practice, opening up questions around rhythm, atmosphere and the subtle dynamics that shape how a show is felt as much as how it is seen.
Pulsar:
Pulsar is a learning space for young people across creative disciplines. We host participatory workshops designed to leave you with something tangible: a skill, a method, or a new way of thinking you can carry into your personal or professional practice.
