About Jean Gumpper:
Jean hails from Hawaii and has a rich artistic journey spanning several states. A Senior Lecturer Emerita at Colorado College, she now creates art in her home studio in Colorado Springs. Her prints have been featured in numerous galleries and collections, including notable institutions across the United States, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Nepal, and Sweden.

She holds a Visual Artist Fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts and has conducted print workshops worldwide. Jean’s work intricately balances representation and abstraction, focusing on the meeting points of land and water. Her artistic process is all about exploring the rhythms of mark-making and the vibrant possibilities of color, texture, and movement. 🎨
