Join us for a delightful discussion on Food in Asian Literature! 📚✨
Our Asian LitChat meetups provide an open and welcoming space for meaningful conversations about diverse Asian literary works. Each session revolves around a unique theme, and our upcoming discussion will focus on the intricate role of food in contemporary Asian literature, including diasporic narratives.
Throughout our gathering, participants will bring 1 to 3 books (novels, short stories, memoirs) that resonate with our theme. It's not necessary for these books to be solely about food; as long as they connect to our topic, they’re welcomed!
We'll break into smaller groups, allowing everyone to share insights about their chosen books. Conversations will be informal and engaging, with the opportunity to delve deeper into broader reflections on Japanese Literature and how food is portrayed across various Asian cultures.

Program Overview:

• 15:00-15:30: Arrivals, ordering drinks & treats, and introductions

  About the Asian Book Club Helsinki:
  We're a diverse community of readers passionate about Asian literature, exploring works by authors from all five Asian regions: East, Southeast, South, West, and Central.
