About the Performer

Ben Haggarty is a world-class storyteller and a key figure in the modern renaissance of oral storytelling since the 1980s.
In addition to performing at over a hundred international storytelling festivals and serving as the official storyteller for Yo Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble for a decade, Ben is the founder of the renowned British storytelling scene, Crick Crack Club, and a professor of storytelling at the University of Berlin.

Atalanta is part of the Helgøya Fortellerfestival 2026 program and is suitable for adults only. Recommended age limit is 16 years old. Children under 18 can attend all performances for free.
