Join us for an enlightening guided tour of the iconic Bauer Villa, a stunning example of Cubist architecture crafted by the renowned architect Josef Gočár between 1912 and 1914. Originally built for local landowner Adolf Bauer, this villa served as a family home until its confiscation in 1940.
With its restoration spearheaded by the Foundation of Czech Cubism, the villa now houses an exquisite collection showcasing furniture and applied art from the Cubist period, featuring the works of celebrated artists like Vlastislav Hofman, Pavel Janák, Josef Gočár, and Ladislav Machona, along with artifacts from the famous Artěl cooperative.
Now under the stewardship of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, this architectural gem offers a rich glimpse into the past.
