For this edition, there will be no formal talks! BASED #6 offers an open environment for knowledge sharing, with multiple rooms for parallel group discussions. Any question, experience, or opinion related to information retrieval is welcome. Prefer to listen? That’s perfectly fine!

How the #BASED Space Works 💬

The format is inspired by BarCamp and Open Space methodologies. Bring a topic (optional) that fits the #BASED manifesto about search: a question, something you built and want feedback on, or even a dilemma you want to discuss.

• Pitch Your Topic: In ~30 seconds, you'll tell us what your topic is about and what you hope to gain from the discussion. Don’t want to pitch? We can pitch for you!
• Discussion Schedule: We’ll create a grid of discussions based on collected topics, and everyone chooses which room to join for a 20-minute group discussion.
• Room Takeaways: After each round, rooms share key insights, ensuring everyone stays in the loop. No slides, sales pitches, or gatekeeping allowed! 🤟

Access the venue via the lower building, located next to the BayWa high-rise. The entrance is on the opposite side of the building from the street.
