Growing up in Plainfield, New Jersey, BLK was deeply influenced by the rich traditions of Neo-soul. The tragic loss of his brother at a young age shaped his perspective, fueling his expressive journey through music.
His debut album, BLK VINTAGE, released in 2021, received widespread acclaim and showcased his heartfelt exploration of Black identity in America. A 2022 re-release added collaborations with talent such as Mereba, Benny the Butcher, George Clinton, and Baby Rose, totaling over 45 million streams!
Most recently, in June 2023, he unveiled his sophomore album DIAMONDS & FREAKS, featuring incredible artists like Rapsody, Kirby, and Bootsy Collins, alongside production from renowned producer The Alchemist.
