Boogieball is back. And this year, we celebrate 15 years of BIRD. A double celebration.

What started as the afterparty of NN North Sea Jazz has grown into a true tradition during the biggest jazz weekend in the Netherlands. A place where festival-goers, night owls, music lovers and artists come together the moment the lights go out at Ahoy. This year feels extra special as we celebrate not only Boogieball, but also 15 years of BIRD.

The Blind Happy Passe Partout sold out before a single name was announced. That says it all.

Over the years, Boogieball has built a reputation for unforgettable moments. Artists like Usher, Macy Gray, Anderson .Paak, Janelle Monáe and Questlove have made surprise appearances over the years. No announcement. No schedule. Just pure energy in the middle of the night. This year, Boogieball returns with two nights of musical highlights spread across two rooms.

Friday 10 July is all about pure live energy. In the live room, we kick things off with a special The RH Factor jam session, where jazz, soul, funk and hip-hop collide in the unmistakable spirit of Roy Hargrove’s legendary project.

Later in the night, host Kay Slice takes over for a high-energy jam session joined by Ildo Nandja, Yoràn Vroom and Anton de Bruin.

At the same time, Montrouve keeps the club floor moving with sets by Lashanti, S!RENE and Suze Ijó.

On Saturday 11 July, Boogieball moves effortlessly between live music and club culture. In the live room, Kiefer takes center stage with an exclusive live set and jam, blending jazz, hip-hop and electronic sounds.

Later in the night, the energy flows into a late-night jam with xmunashe, hosted by Lezaam Beets. Together with local artists, the session creates space for improvisation, musical chemistry and unexpected moments.

Meanwhile, Pass Da Jazz takes over the club with Cutnice, MC JR, Ray Escobar, Stayfun and Turne providing the soundtrack for the night.

Expect two nights filled with soul, hip-hop, jazz, house, broken beat and everything in between. Move between live sessions and packed dance floors, grab a bite in between, and let the night unfold naturally. And because BIRD is celebrating 15 years, expect exclusive merchandise, limited drops and a few surprises you’ll have to experience for yourself.
