Brazilian Movies: "I'm Still Here" with 🇬🇧 English subtitles

The Gloria cinema is currently showing a selection of the best Brazilian movies 🇧🇷 🎬 over the last years. One of them is "Ainda Estou Aqui (I'm Still Here)", Academy Award 🏆 winner in the category Best International Feature Film, and nominated in several others (IMDB 8.1 rating; https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14961016)

The movie opens in the lively warmth of the Paiva home, where joy persists under the shadow of Brazil’s military dictatorship. But when former congressman Rubens (Selton Mello) is taken for questioning and Eunice (the superb Fernanda Torres) is imprisoned for 12 days, that warmth gives way to resolve. Emerging changed, Eunice begins a fearless fight to expose a regime built on silence, denial, and disappearance.
