Join us for an exciting Brazilian Zouk weekender with William & Xanne in Utrecht! 🎉 Prepare to dive deep into the art of zouk dance, enhancing your movements through the exploration of texture, flow, and dynamics. This event is designed for dancers at all levels with a foundation in Brazilian Zouk, ensuring everyone can benefit from this immersive experience.

DAY 1 — Technique, Flow & Texture

• Discover how to carry flow through space and refine your technique.
• Explore transitions between movements and the transformative impact of texture and musicality on your dance.

DAY 2 — Playful Complexity

• Learn to bring complex techniques to the social dance floor in a playful and effortless manner.
• Understand how layers and dynamics influence both leaders and followers, enhancing the overall sensation of your dance.

Saturday, October 3
11:00 – 11:15: Registration
11:15 – 15:00: Workshops with William & Xanne
15:00 – 18:30: Afternoon social with DJ Winx & DJ Denise (Included in Full Pass; Social-only tickets available)
19:00: Optional group dinner at Oproer Café (own cost, next to the studio)

Sunday, October 4
13:00 – 13:15: Doors open
13:15 – 17:00: Workshops with William & Xanne
17:00 – 17:30: Closing reflections
17:30 – 18:00: Hangout & practice time
For those wishing to continue dancing, we may head to Amsterdam for the BZA Social from 20:00 – 23:00.

❗️ Level Requirements

All participants with a foundation in Brazilian Zouk are welcome. For Utrecht Zouk students, completing the Essentials course qualifies you to join!
Limited Spots: 25 leaders & 25 followers for the workshops; an additional 30 tickets for the social (15 for leaders & 15 for followers).

About the Teachers ✨

William Wegert: From a young age, William has been on a movement journey, mastering various forms of dance and martial arts. He discovered his passion for Zouk and now shares his love for dance globally, emphasizing growth and connection.

Xanne Mensinga: With a diverse background in performance art and various dance styles, Xanne combines technique with personal expression in her teaching, emphasizing softness and awareness. She is also a social scientist focused on the mental health benefits of dance.
