Sobre el evento

Most founders approach investors with the same misconceptions, and most pay for it. This workshop cuts through the noise, tackling 11 of the most common myths we've seen entrepreneurs get wrong on their path to funding.
What began at Cambridge University has grown into a truly global series in which leading institutions including SKEMA Business School, IE Business School, and Tel Aviv University School of Management, alongside universities and partner organizations across the world invite Qodeo to bring this workshop to their communities.
What You'll Learn
We'll unpack 11 myths that trip up even experienced founders, including:
Myth 1: VCs care more about financials than any other criteria
Myth 2: You should target the largest investors with a track record in your sector
Myth 3: Raising a small round indicates success and is more likely to close
...and 8 more that could be standing between you and your next round.

About the Series: This workshop is part of Qodeo's global series, which began at Cambridge University and has since reached France, Spain, the UK, the United States, Bermuda, Iceland, and beyond. Alongside these workshops, Qodeo hosts its Democratizing Venture® Summits, bringing together leaders across entrepreneurship, venture capital, academia, and policy. Upcoming summits include an Edinburgh Summit on September 23rd and a return to the House of Lords later this autumn.
About Your Host: Simon Glass, CEO of Qodeo, brings a rare combination of perspectives to the room — having worked across venture capital (including Cambridge-based Amadeus Capital Partners), investment banking at EY, and media and entertainment, where he was named an established producer by The Times. He holds BA, MA, and MBA degrees from the University of Cambridge, and trained in Corporate Finance at London Business School. He built Qodeo to solve the exact problems he encountered as a banker, investor, advisor, and entrepreneur.
June 24th, 6PM, LSE Generate.
Cambridge alumni and all guests are welcome — you don't need to be a current student to attend.
