Collegedale TimberFest

Join us for the inaugural Collegedale TimberFest from August 21–23, 2026 at The Commons, located at 4750 Swinyar Drive, Ooltewah! This exciting new community festival will celebrate the incredible art of chainsaw carving, local artisans, and family-friendly activities.

🎨 What to Expect:
Watch talented chainsaw artists transform massive logs into stunning sculptures right before your eyes.

🗓️ Friday, August 21:

• Artists set up their carving areas.
• An optional public carving session from 4 PM to 7 PM to see the creative process live!

🗓️ Saturday, August 22:

• Live carving demonstrations from 9 AM to 6 PM.
• Join the Quick Carve Competition from 1 PM to 2 PM, where artists race against the clock!
• Unique sculptures will be auctioned in a silent auction starting at 2 PM, ending at noon on Sunday.
• Artisan market and food trucks from 11 AM to 5 PM.
• Fun-filled Kids Corner activities!

🗓️ Sunday, August 23:

• Carving continues from 9 AM to 2 PM.
• Don’t miss the Judging and Awards Ceremony from 2 PM to 3 PM.
• Completed sculptures will be available for purchase!
• The artisan market and food trucks will also be open from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This festival isn't just about showcasing talent; it's about bringing our community together, supporting local artists and businesses. Christina Clark, Supervisor of Collegedale Parks & Recreation, hopes it will become a cherished annual tradition drawing visitors from across the region.

Whether you enjoy watching chainsaw artists, shopping local crafts, or indulging in great food, Collegedale TimberFest promises something for everyone.
