Cordage: Natural Bracelet Making

Join Winneshiek County Conservation for a delightful afternoon of natural bracelet making!

Neste Valley offers an array of outdoor recreation opportunities including mowed hiking trails, picnicking areas, and wildlife watching!

🌱 What to Expect:
Discover the ancient art of cordage—a practice over 40,000 years old! Traditionally used for crafting fishing nets, baskets, and shelters, you'll learn how to turn plants into string and rope. We’ll use stinging nettle to create beautiful bracelets and coasters. Don’t worry, the nettle will be pre-treated to ensure a safe crafting experience!
