The Powder Ridge Experience

Instead of watching from home, ride the chairlift to the summit for breathtaking views and an unforgettable afternoon under the changing sky.

Option 1: Mountaintop Picnic Experience 🍽️

Enjoy a picnic lunch before the eclipse begins! Each picnic purchase includes a complimentary chairlift ride and certified eclipse viewing glasses.

  Includes: Charcuterie board, fried chicken, cold pasta salad, coleslaw, cookies
  Add a bucket of wings for two – $15 (Buffalo or Parmesan)
• Lunch for Four – $60
  Includes: Charcuterie board, BBQ ribs, fried chicken, cold pasta salad, coleslaw, cookies

Pre-Purchase Required: Choose the date and 1:00 PM time. Pickup Time: Noon to 1:00 PM. Blankets are welcome, but no chairs on the lift.

Option 2: Scenic Chairlift Ride 🚡

Take a scenic ride to the top for sweeping views and an ideal vantage point for the eclipse.

• Price: $10 per person
  Each chairlift ticket includes certified eclipse viewing glasses. Purchase onsite or via the ticket link.

Connecticut will experience a partial solar eclipse, with approximately 20% to 23% of the sun covered by the moon.

Viewing Safety 🕶️

Proper eye protection is required! Use only ISO 12312-2 certified eclipse glasses or a handheld solar viewer. Regular sunglasses are not safe.
