What is the future of textile recovery in California?
Hosted by UCI EcoGovLab in partnership with recurvence, this initial cross-sector briefing is designed to translate California's new textile Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) legislation into actionable regional opportunities.
We will view a short documentary, analyze the statutory requirements of SB 707, and host an open forum reflecting on emerging market opportunities, new research pathways, and regional job creation.

Session Timeline (90 Minutes):
- Documentary Screening (25 min): 'The Responsible Textile Recovery Act' (2024) by Ashley Kemper.
- SB707 Briefing (15 min): SB 707 statutory requirements, current implementation status, and upcoming milestones.
- Open Forum (40 min): Collaborative discussion on regional integration, research, and cross-sector collaboration.
The session will be co-facilitated by Amandine Richard and Alexandra Farah, and circular design specialists at recurvence.
