This special evening at the Heard Museum in downtown Phoenix brings the spirit of Alaska to the desert, featuring a live carving demonstration by acclaimed Tlingit artist James Johnson. 🌲
Immerse yourself in the artistry rooted in the Pacific Northwest Coast, providing a refreshing contrast to the warm Phoenix night.
The Cantina will be open late, serving a delightful selection of food and drinks to keep you energized as you explore. 🍹🌮
Admission to the Heard Museum is FREE during First Friday!
Note: An add-on experience fee is required for entry to Molly of Denali: An Alaskan Adventure in Steele Auditorium, payable at the door.

About the Artist
James Johnson is an award-winning Tlingit artist and carver from Juneau, Alaska. As a member of the Ch’áak’ Dakl’aweidi Clan (Eagle Killerwhale), he carries on a legacy of leadership and artistry, honoring his ancestors through his creative work. 🏞️
