London Craft Week is just around the corner, and we’re joining in the spirit with a creative May collaboration! 🎨✨
We’ve teamed up with RHIZOMATIC! (@rhizomatic.ldn) London’s newest craft café and third space for its opening weekend 🎉
Join us for an Iranian film screening 🎬 followed by a relaxed, beginner-friendly weaving workshop 🧶 led by Misha Nikkhah and Zeynep Ağırbaş.
This gentle evening session offers an introduction to Persian and Anatolian weaving techniques, with a focus on the rich cultural heritage and history of carpet weaving in these regions. We'll explore simple patterns using vibrant, colourful yarns, encouraging experimentation and creativity throughout.
You'll also be able to take part in an interactive natural dyeing session, discovering traditional carpet dyes and their rich histories.
