Before Rivet became known as Rivet, there was Grovskopa — a pressure valve and an outlet for anger, delivering industrial techno built to leave dents. 🎧

From 2001 to 2011, Grovskopa emerged as a key figure in the industrial techno movement originating from Birmingham. Through his labels, Pohjola and Emergence Records, alongside releases on Token, Warm Up, Surface, and Audio Assault (which later became MORD), Grovskopa was instrumental in redefining techno through pressure, repetition, and functionality. Collaborations with renowned artists such as Surgeon, Regis, and Oscar Mulero marked his journey.

His trajectory shifted following a near-fatal motorcycle accident. Recovery transformed everything — Grovskopa was laid to rest, and Rivet emerged, focusing less on sheer force and more on groove, tension, and storytelling. For fifteen years, this evolution sufficed.

However, times have changed. The world has become harsher; techno has become cleaner and less visceral, often diluted into lifestyle branding. Somewhere along the line, the essence of techno — which was meant to unsettle and rearrange your nervous system — has been overlooked.

Thus, Grovskopa makes a comeback, not merely as a nostalgic return but as a necessity. This revival coincides with the launch of a new EP set to release on MORD this October.

Joining the night will be Stanislav Tolkachev from Ukraine, making his Swedish debut. Having released his first record on Pohjola Records in 2006, he continues to be one of techno's most uncompromising voices, steering clear of detours and compromises.

Additionally, Rebecka Sekelius from Malmö will be part of the lineup, known for her profound understanding of techno's past, present, and future.

🌟 Visuals will be crafted by Adèle Tornberg, who also designed the artwork for the upcoming Grovskopa EP and the visual identity of this event.

And, of course, Grovskopa will be taking the stage. 🎉
