Join us for a creative journey in this hands-on pottery course designed for both beginners and returning students! Over 6 x 3-hour classes, you'll delve into the foundational techniques of clay work, mastering hand-building methods including:

• Pinch Pots 👐: Craft small bowls or vessels using just your hands and basic tools.
• Coil Pots 🔗: Create larger, sculptural pieces while exploring texture and shaping.
• Slab Platters 📏: Learn to make flat, functional pieces, enriching them with personalized surface decorations.

Returning students can embark on a guided project pathway focusing on either sculptural or functional creation. This is a fantastic opportunity to refine your practice and explore your ideas, backed by the support of your facilitator.

• Week 1: Pinch Pots - Basics of hand-building.
• Week 2: Coil Pots - Exploring larger forms.
• Week 3: Slab Platters - Introduction to slabs.
• Week 4: Project of Choice - Start planning under supervision.
• Week 5: Project of Choice - Continue developing your project.
• Week 6: Drying Period and Firing - Allowing pieces to dry.
• Week 7: Glazing Session - Learn to apply glazes for the final touch.
