💡 About the Performance
What does happiness mean amidst genocide and collapse? Happy Days Finale invites us to explore our capacity for joy, grief, resistance, and chance in a world marked by relentless horrors and violence.
Choreographer and sound artist Leyya Mona Tawil infuses the stage with a daring energy, compelling us to rethink resilience, mourning, and community action. Accompanied by dancer Zari Lionudakis and musician John MacDougall Parker, who’ll provide an original interactive sound score, this performance unfolds uniquely each time through Tawil’s pioneering “choice-based choreography.”
With each iteration, the dance composition transforms into an evolving conversation, allowing performers and audiences to actively participate in worldbuilding. Happy Days Finale serves as a reminder of the power of art as a tool for liberation, urging us to face the challenges of today's world together.
