Born into a musical family, Houston began playing saxophone at a young age, guided by talents like Harry Patton and Wendell Harrison. At just 20, he performed with Kevin Jones & Tenth World at GRNoir, and has since become a key figure in both Grand Rapids and Detroit’s jazz scenes.

Houston's recent journey includes a transformative four-month experience in New York, where he honed his skills, interned with Brandon Ross, and jammed with notable musicians including drummer Winard Harper. 🎤🎸

He leads thrilling performances at renowned venues like Cliff Bell’s, Blue Llama, and many others. In April 2024, Houston is set to release his debut album, “Here We Are,” featuring the talented group Quintessential, who received a standing ovation after a memorable performance at Cliff’s Bells. 🎵
