Houston Shakespeare Festival: The Tempest Produced by University of Houston
Join us for the enchanting return of the Houston Shakespeare Festival (HSF) as they present The Tempest, produced by the University of Houston! 🌟
This captivating tale follows Prospera, the deposed Duchess of Milan, who wields her magical powers to conjure a tempest. Exiled by her brother to a deserted island, she uses the shipwreck of her enemies to weave a narrative of revenge and reconciliation. Expect a rich tapestry of spectacle, humor, and wonder as Shakespeare’s final play transports audiences to a 'brave new world' where redemption is within reach.
The festival features a stellar cast, including veteran actors Laura Frye as Prospera and Wesley Whitson as Ariel, under the direction of the nationally acclaimed Executive Director of HSF. 🎭✨
