This exhibition traces the journey of Adolf Ludvig Couschi Badin — from an enslaved boy to court servant, actor, and independent thinker. His story is not only a deeply personal one, but also a broader narrative touching on slavery and colonialism in Swedish history.

Discover Badin through his own letters and writings, and encounter him in a newly created film work by Salad Hilowle, in which Badin is brought back to life and reflects upon his experiences and the many ways others have perceived him.
