What to Expect:

• 🌿 Explore the meadow and discover how conservation affects insect populations.
• 🎨 Create your own lino cut print! Bring an item of clothing or paper to print on — one print per person! Don’t worry, we’ll have paper available too.
• 💡 Learn about ongoing habitat restoration projects at Plaster Creek Family Park.
• 🐞 Get hands-on with isopods and learn all about them!
• 🔎 Examine insects under microscopes, including both terrestrial and aquatic macroinvertebrates.
• 🦋 Join in on bug netting activities (nets provided) and catch a glimpse of our fluttery friends!
• ✏️ Show off your artistic flair with fun sidewalk chalk art!

This event is a fantastic opportunity to deepen your knowledge of ecology, insects, and conservation while enjoying the great outdoors with local partners like the Grand Rapids Bug Club and Solidago Landscape Design.
