Kalia Vandever (they/them) is a trombonist and composer based in New York. AllMusic hails Vandever as “a master musician and composer” and “a singular talent.” Their innovative approach to the trombone is characterized by a rich tone and lyrical expression. Embracing the instrument's challenges, Vandever’s music amalgamates modern jazz elements with expansive songwriting, rooted in both songs and improvisation. Critics from The Wire commend Vandever for their assuredness and control over their remarkable talents.

Hailing from Ohio and now residing in Los Angeles, megiapa is a linguist, producer, visual artist, and vocalist embedded in the underground beat scene. Her debut LP ’92, released in 2019, caught immediate attention, while her ongoing series diddies showcases her knack for creating immersive beats infused with melodies. The first volume, diddies vol. 1, was recognized as a Bandcamp Essential Release in 2021. With an evolving sound painting fractured downtempo and lo-fi landscapes, megiapa draws inspiration from the Afro-future, inviting listeners on a vibrant auditory journey.
